The Greatest Invention Since the Internet

In my adult life I have seen a lot of different ways of making money and seen a lot of things that have been useful in saving money. It would seem to me that when you can combine them into one thing it is the best of all worlds.

I have discovered a tool that I believe is going to revolutionize the way the world shops. Did you know that some 80,000 brick and mortar stores are projected to close the first half of this year? Our world is changing. We are moving away from the type of economy we once knew. Actually the retail world has run out of ideas. If you are as old as I am you remember when we had "shopping centers." These so called lifestyle centers are nothing but fancied up old fashioned shopping centers. I guess it has come full circle. Our economy is changing. We are entering a new economic world. There is a major shift of wealth in our economy.

The internet has been likened to the invention of radio and television. It is said that the internet is changing the way we communicate like those two did at the inception of their being introduced into the market. As this wealth shift gathers steam we are seeing more and more retailers and wholesalers moving towards selling via the internet. You and I using it right now. There are fewer and fewer objections to buying and selling over the internet. It is the way we are going to interact with retailers in the future.

Timing

God's timing is impeccable.  I am so amazed at how he works.  He is so wonderful and gracious.  I am thankful for the privilege to be his child.  

What in the world am I talking about.  Well, you know how it is.  Sometimes you get down and feel low.  And, just when you need it most he comes through.  I have seen it over and over again.  I am reminded of the story of Lazarus when he died.  Jesus loved Lazarus.  He also loved Mary and Martha.  But, when the news came that Lazarus was sick Jesus "tarried."  Why did he wait around.  Well, the disciples asked the same question.  Jesus said, "But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.”  Eventually Jesus went to be with Mary and Martha.  They expressed their frustration that he had not been there so that Lazarus would not have died.  But Lazarus did die.  He was in the ground for three days but when Jesus said, |"Lazarus, Come Forth."  Lazarus rose from the dead.  Praise the Lord.  According to the world's way of thinking Jesus was late.  There is a Southern Gospel song that says he was three days late but right on time.  God is NEVER late.  He is always right on time.  God got glory and continues to do so because Lazarus died.  Jesus came at the perfect time to raise him when there was no question that he was dead.  

I am prone to get anxious and want the answer right now.  God always has ways to accomplish he plan and to get the glory.  I want to be a part of his getting the glory.  I want my life to bring him glory so Lord I am waiting on you.

Trusting

Sometimes it gets really hard.  I have been out of work for a long time.  I am completely amazed that we have been able to pay our bills and not even be late on one in all that time.  But, we are getting to the place where I am not sure, without some sort of intervention by the Lord, that we will be able to continue.  I do believe he will intervene.  I do believe this business is where he wants me.  I get discouraged when others do not have the same excitement that I have but I am not going to quit.  I am going to stay with it.  The money is there.  I have to work the plan, listen to those that are successful and never say die.  Lord, please help me.  Keep me encouraged.  Keep me focused.  Give me success for your glory.  I want to see you work so bad.  I want to see as clearly as I did in the building of the church.  Please Lord.

What's Happening Now?

Well, it's a great day in Gray Summit.  I think a lot of people went to bed last night thinking the world would end over night.  It didn't.  The sun came up.  The sky is blue.  The temps are warm and it's a wonderful day.  God is sooooooo good!  I am extremely blessed and thankful.

I am starting this blogg as a way to let those that are interested know about what's happening in our lives.  You can also read my opinions if you like.  It's not required.  I will put up pictures from time to time and just share from my heart.  This is rather personal but if you want a glimpse into the thoughts, feelings and activities around the Gray Summit Scotts you are welcome in.
